Code of Conduct
Approved by the Board of Directors October 6, 2009
Every member of the AOS participating in FIS or CSF sanctioned activities must adhere to the following general principles of conduct:
- Dress neatly and in a manner appropriate to the occasion.
- Refrain from becoming, or giving the appearance of being, intoxicated.
- Refrain from threatening and/or abusive language and behaviour.
- Speak to competition officials in a constructive manner, and make appeals only through the proper channels.
- Recognize the paramount need for safety and refrain from horseplay or reckless activity.
- Respect other persons, public and private property, and the rules, regulations, or norms of conduct of public occasions.
- Refrain from possessing, using, or encouraging the use of illegal substances such as marijuana, hashish, and cocaine.
Every person shall recognize these general principles as representing minimum standards of conduct.
Every person shall recognize that he or she is publicly viewed as being a representative of the AOS even when not acting in any official capacity, and shall govern him or herself accordingly at all times.
Every person acknowledges that any breech of the AOS Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary measures.
